A sanatorium in the middle of the Norwegian mountain idyll: Here there is still hope to recover from the hardships of the artist's life and to develop new creative powers through the healing influences of nature. But inspiration also has its pitfalls. – So the unexpected reunion of an aging artist and his former model does not result in the hoped-for creative boost, but rather he is confronted with the consequences of his work. While his wife finds salvation in a budding love of hunting, he gets lost trying to climb the Peak of Promise. In the valleys echoes the unsaid.
